Rondinelli was replaced by Chuck Bürgi and the line-up recorded 'Bent Out Of Shape' and toured thereafter. The bands final gigs were at the Budokan in Japan, where they performed with a full symphony orchestra for the track 'Difficult To Cure.'

Blackmore, along with Glover then joined the reformed Deep Purple.
