After quitting Deep Purple in 1993, Blackmore decided to put a new group together. Initially he wanted to call it Rainbow Moon but was cajoled by the Record company into abandoning Moon for the more familiar name.

This all-new Rainbow recorded the album 'Stranger In Us All.'

However there would be a change of personnel before the band hit the stage and this line-up never performed live.
